Ready for a delicious dessert that you can make for any season? This four layer torte melts in your mouth whether you make a pumpkin torte in the fall, lemon in the summer, chocolate all year round, pistachio for St. Patrick’s Day, or butterscotch to please a crowd at any get-together!Ingredients: 1 C. flour, 1 stick butter, 2 T. sugar, 1/4 C. pecans, 8 oz. cream cheese, 2/3 C. powdered sugar, 12 oz. Cool Whip, 2 small packages instant pudding, 2 1/2 C. milk, garnishFirst, mix 1 cup flour,1 stick softened butter,2 Tablespoons sugar,and 1/4 cup chopped pecans in a mixing bowl.Mix like pie dough.Grease bottom only of a 9 X 13 baking dish and press dough into bottom.Bake at 375º for 15 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely.Mix 8 ounce softened cream cheese,2/3 cup powdered sugar,and 1/2 of the 12 ounce Cool Whip tub in mixer. Mixture will be thick.Spread over cooled crust.Pour 2 1/2 cups milk into a large mixing bowl. Add 2 small packages of instant pudding.Using whisk, mix well until thickened.Pour over cream cheese mixture.Spread evenly.Spread with other half of Cool Whip.Garnish with chopped pecans.Enjoy this delicious dessert–a definite crowd pleaser!
