Card Making –Growing Up

Kids have so many monumental moments while growing up.  Sometimes the “small”things in life need to be celebrated.  And a customized card sent to them can mean so much.  Here are a few ideas:

Losing your first tooth,or your fourth,or your eighth, can sometimes be a bit traumatic.  Depending on how loose the tooth was,how it was lost, etc. can really effect the experience.  Why not make it fun with a Tooth Loss card?  If you are more talented than I am,you could make an alligator with a tooth missing or a tooth fairy.  But,I stuck with a simpler version.  (By the way,I learned in Sunday School that in South America, they don’t have Tooth Fairies, they have Tooth Rats!  Can you imagine???  “Go to sleep so the Tooth Rat can come visit?”  Bleh!)

Young kids really relish the days when something comes in the mail for THEM.  Why not send a potty training card?  Positive reinforcement and another celebration!

Whether or not your child receives good grades every day or if it is few and far between, celebrate it!  Everyone needs a little recognition now and again!

How do you celebrate growing up moments with your kids?  We’d love to hear your ideas!
