Have you made any back-to-school cards yet? Here’s another fun idea–lunch notes! Mom used to send cards in our lunches every now and then and it was such a treat to find them tucked in. There are so many ways to send a special note in your child’s lunch. Let’s look at a few options:
How simple is that? Just write a note on the napkin you send in their lunch. You can get as creative as you want with stickers, drawn pictures, colored markers, etc.
Another simple idea. Add a note to the baggie! Make sure the pen or marker you use does not rub off–you’d hate for your note to disappear before they find it!
How cool are these edible markers? You could draw on any number of foods that you send in their lunch. Smiley face on string cheese, stripes and polka dots on veggies,a note on their sandwich…the possibilities are endless! I definitely need to purchase these. You can find the markers at any cake decorating store or here.

I like to write on Zach’s bananas that he takes for snack time. Use a permanent marker to write a note or draw a silly picture.
Great idea! And,I’ve heard you can also etch a note on a banana peel with a toothpick and overtime it shows up–like a secret, invisible message!
