Messy Day

 I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July and plenty of time to celebrate with friends and family.  As I recuperate from a late night fireworks extravaganza,I want to share some pictures of our recent Messy Day that was inspired by an episode of Kate Plus 8.  Hope you enjoy!

First,it’s time to TP the inside of the house!

It didn’t take long for Annika and Logan to get the hang of tossing the rolls.

And gathering a big ball of TP to throw…

And to bury yourself in!  Half the fun was in the clean-up process!

Then,we moved outside to start with Silly String.

It took Logan a little time to get the hang of how to squirt it.

But,spraying Mom was the most fun!

Next up was the “handmade”sundaes.

Start with whipped cream,top with whatever toppings you want.

Then,dig in!

And get messy!

And more messy!

Sure,it ended up all over their faces,arms,hair,and feet,but a quick hose off or bath takes care of it. 

All in all,it was a GREAT day and they both really got into it.  Definitely something we will be repeating!
