Peep Wreath

Peeps…you either love them or hate them.  I personally LOVE Peeps.  I had to hide my Peeps from my college roommate each spring because she hated them and would take great joy in blowing them up in the microwave.

When I saw this idea on Pinterest, I knew I HAD to try it.  And it turned out to be so simple and cute!

First, add a ribbon to a craft wreath.  I used this 14″ straw wreath instead of a foam wreath because it was half the price.  Use whatever you want.

Using toothpicks, start placing your purple Peeps.  The toothpicks go all the way through the Peeps and sometimes stick through the head, but it’s easy to push it back in and cover the hole.  Peeps are great that way. :)

Add pink…

Yellow…

Green and Blue.

I used a 3 pack of each color for this wreath.  A few of the upside down Peeps slipped off when I hung it up, but I left them off for a few days (to get nice and stale) and then slid them back on.  They are staying great!  It’s been a few weeks and the wreath still looks great!

probably a stupid question but do I take the plastic off the wreath before I start poking the peeps in?

Yes, we left the plastic on and it helped the toothpicks stay in.
