Pie Crust Cookies

One of my most cherished childhood memories is Mom baking in the kitchen.  The smell of flour is one of my favorites.  There is nothing like her lemon meringue pie!  After making the pie,she would place the pie crust scraps on a cookie sheet and bake them–well, the ones that Dad and I did not eat first!  They were DELICIOUS as they came hot out of the oven!  My daughter has now bestows the love for cinnamon sugar pie crust cookies!  What a chef!

Ingredients:  pie crust dough (I like Betty Crocker pie crust that you just add water),cinnamon sugar, rolling pin, cookie sheets, and cookie cutters

Roll out pie crust dough.

Use cookie cutters to cut shapes out of the dough.  Stars and flags are perfect to get ready for the 4th of July holiday!

Place on cookie sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.  Bake at 450º for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Enjoy this flakey sweet treat!
