One of my most cherished childhood memories is Mom baking in the kitchen. The smell of flour is one of my favorites. There is nothing like her lemon meringue pie! After making the pie, she would place the pie crust scraps on a cookie sheet and bake them–well, the ones that Dad and I did not eat first! They were DELICIOUS as they came hot out of the oven! My daughter has now bestows the love for cinnamon sugar pie crust cookies! What a chef!
