Who’s at the Zoo?

Field trips to the zoo is one of my favorite childhood memories.  Now as a mom,I love taking my kiddos to the zoo and watching the awe in their eyes as they come face to face with the different creatures!  Join us on a few of our favorite zoo adventures as we continue our Summer Family Vacation series !

The Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita,Kansas is one of the best I have ever seen!  So many animals in natural environments without a lot of walking!

Rumble in the jungle!

We just visited the San Diego Zoo–one of our country’s best!

This little guy has become one of my kids’favorite animals!  Its a meerkat like Timon on The Lion King!  What a cutie!

The kids loved playing I Spy at the amphibian house to see who could find the snake,lizard or frog first!  Mommy just says “Ewwww gross!!”

Grandma’s favorite animal is the giraffe so we take a picture for her!

Prehistoric animal statues are fun to climb on too!

The Omaha Zoo is another fun place to visit!  This is a dome that is huge that housed many desert dwellers and was fun to walk though!

The rope bridge in the jungle was a favorite for rambunctios boys!

Oklahoma City is another city with a marvelous zoo!!

Elephants!  Real and pretend!

My kids just love climbing on the animal statues at the zoo!
